About Us

We are Borderline Support UK CIC, the only national non-profit committed to supporting and empowering individuals and families in the UK who have been impacted by borderline personality disorder (sometimes also referred to as emotionally unstable personality disorder or EUPD).

BPD is a debilitating disorder, affected up to 2% of the population. It has a huge impact on people’s lives, and many people live without diagnosis or suitable treatment services.

We believe that everyone affected by BPD should receive appropriate support and treatment, at the time when you need it most, empowering you to live your life to the fullest.

We put the people we work with at the centre of their own recovery, empowering them to live the life that is important to them, and working to ensure that people have choice and control over their care and support. We value people as being experts in their own experience, and recognise that they know what works best for them.

We are an organisation driven by our service users, without any paid staff. Many of our trustees and volunteers have lived experience of BPD. Our work is sustained through donations and fundraising efforts, and we deeply appreciate the support of our donors, volunteers and trustees, who make our work possible.

Our core values revolve around compassion and empathy, as we strive to empower you towards wellness and recovery. We provide a range of services and resources to support you on this journey, such as:

  • Peer support: we offer 10 support groups throughout the month for men, women and carers
  • Information: everything you need to know about BPD, the symptoms, the diagnostic process and treatment options
  • Signposting: we are able to offer guidance on the support services available in your area. These services are provided by various organisations such as the NHS, charities, non-profit organisations and community groups.
  • Worksheets: we offer an extensive selection of more than 80 worksheets covering various subjects including anxiety, anger, communication, depression, coping techniques, CBT skills, DBT skills and many others.

We also want to see change happen, We are committed to seeing improvements in the treatment options available to individuals with BPD throughout the UK. Our aim is to advocate for you by sharing your experiences, with the aim of getting enhanced healthcare options when they are most needed.

If you are interested in getting involved, supporting us, or finding out more, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We would love to hear from you.

Together, we have the power to create positive change, and make a difference for people impacted by borderline personality disorder.
