Hollyoaks star Joe Tracini praised by followers for admitting he’s ‘scared of what’s happening’ (Metro)
Hollyoaks star Joe Tracini has returned to Twitter explaining to followers why he hasn’t been using the social media platform for a while. The actor, who portrayed Dennis Savage in the Channel 4 soap, regularly posts videos on his social media about mental health and what his life is like living with borderline personality disorder (BPD).
After Joe posts a video, he is inundated with praise from his followers, all thanking him for being open and honest about how he is feeling. On Saturday (July 17), Joe posted a video and told his followers the reason behind his time away.
Initially struggling to find the words, Joe says how his brain is split into two, saying he’s ‘in charge of [his] facts’, but his personality disorder is ‘in charge of [his] feelings’, meaning he can know something isn’t true, but feel like it is.
Joe goes on to say that when the pandemic began and everyone started ‘queuing outside of Morrisons’, he ‘didn’t feel anything, initially’.
Joe added: ‘This is the first time in my whole life, that I have been scared of the things inside me that aren’t happening and scared of the things that are outside of me that are. I am scared of what’s happening, and I’ve not seen many people say that they’re scared, and I feel like it might just be me’.
Currently, 774,000 people have watched Joe’s video and the comments on his Twitter post are flooded with people thanking him for admitting he’s feeling scared and reminding him he’s not alone.
