Counselling Derby and Derbyshire

Our Derby and Derbyshire service provides free and confidential talking therapies to anyone aged 18+ years and registered with a GP in the Derby/Derbyshire area.

What we can help with

We accept self-referrals, as well as from GPs and other health professionals, and can help you if you are struggling with common mental health problems such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression and low mood
  • Panic and agoraphobia
  • Health anxiety
  • Social anxiety
  • Phobias
  • Insomnia
  • Stress
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Trauma
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Body dysmorphia
  • Disordered eating patterns

The therapies we offer

To support people with their difficulties, we offer different therapies such as:

  • Webinars
  • CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)
  • Digital CBT (online therapy course)
  • Guided self-help based on CBT
  • EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing)
  • IPT (interpersonal therapy)
  • Counselling

Employment support

Within our Derbyshire service, we also have specialist employment advisors who can support you if your mental health has been affected by work. For example, you might want to get back into work, have been affected by furlough or working from home, have been made redundant, or be experiencing other work-related problems.

Everyturn’s employment advisor support service is available to all clients who are attending therapy at our Derby/Derbyshire service.
