Peer Support Worker

We run support groups for people impacted by borderline personality disorder, this includes friends, family and carers. The groups are a safe supportive space to help people get support from others who truly understand what they are going through. By leading our support groups, you’ll help people affected by BPD to draw on invaluable support from their peers.

As a volunteer Peer Support Worker, you will either help with running an online group, or a face to face group in your local area. The groups are run weekly and last 75 minutes. We are recruiting support group facilitators who can commit to a minimum of 6 months to run groups.  Full training will be provided.

Diversity

We’re working to improve the diversity of our team to match the diversity of our service users. We know that diversity and individuality leads to a better experience for our service users which leads to better support for those affected by BPD. We strongly encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. And we’re particularly looking to increase the number of applications from those with lived experience of BPD and those from under-represented communities.

To help us deliver our strategy and make a real difference, we are looking to recruit talented people to a number of new support roles. If you would like to support people impacted by BPD, we want to hear from you! Interviews will be held at the start of April.
