Introducing the Mental Health Liaison Service, stationed at your local hospital. This service assesses individuals aged 16 and over who are inpatients, in Intermediate Care, or have visited the Emergency Department with mental health concerns. A team of mental health practitioners and psychiatrists provide coverage 24/7. Upon your visit to the emergency department, you'll undergo an assessment to determine the best course of action. The team listens to your needs, conducts a comprehensive assessment, and collaborates with you to create an action plan. Following the assessment, your GP will be informed, and with your consent, input may be sought from family or friends.
