Sport in Mind

Sport in Mind works on transforming the lives and mental health of children and adults through sport and physical activity.

Sport in Mind sessions are a source of fun, enjoyment, and social connection, attracting participants, volunteers, and coaches. Whether rediscovering a favourite activity or exploring new interests, the organisation offers a diverse range of inclusive activities for all ages, genders, mobilities, ethnicities, and abilities. Engaging in team sports provides not only physical benefits but also fosters mutual encouragement, recognition, camaraderie, and skill development. From calming gardening to invigorating yoga, the varied activities cater to different preferences and goals, offering a positive weekly focus and contributing to the establishment of routines. For those grappling with challenging thoughts, sports serve as a valuable distraction, providing a break from intense contemplation.

Sport in Mind offers all the necessary equipment and venues, with no specific attire required. The majority of sessions are either free or have a minimal cost of just a couple of pounds. The selected venues are conveniently accessible by both car and bus, ensuring inclusivity for individuals with varying levels of mobility.
