Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) is a specialized form of psychoanalytic psychotherapy aimed at improving personality functioning and relationships. Through weekly sessions over at least one year, TFP targets Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and other personality issues. Therapy focuses on understanding transference dynamics to enhance self-awareness and relational skills. TFP is available at Gaskell House Psychotherapy Centre and St James’s House in Manchester. Referrals are accepted through GPs or healthcare professionals.
