Youth accommodation & support (18 – 24)

Somerset County Council and local District Councils partner with YMCA housing groups to provide the Pathways to Independence (P2I) service for young people aged 16 to 25. P2I aims to help young individuals transition to independent living while offering tailored support based on their goals, whether it's securing housing, education, employment, or developing life skills. To access the service, young people facing housing crises or needing advice can contact their local District Council or their social or leaving care worker. For inquiries about P2I, contact Somerset County Council's 16 Plus Housing and Partnership Coordinator, John Shipley, at jshipley@somerset.gov.uk.
