Volunteer Agreement

Thank you for volunteering with us, we really appreciate you giving your time freely to help us reach and support more people affected by BPD.

The purpose of this agreement is to set out what you can expect from Borderline Support UK CIC, and what we expect of you in your role. It isn’t legally binding, and either party can end it at any time if they wish to.

What can you expect from us?

We will follow our organisational policies and standards in relation to volunteers

We will resolve any concerns or complaints in a fair and timely manner, in line with our complaints procedure.

Upon request, and after 3 months, we will provide references for people who have actively volunteered with us.

We will adhere to our values regarding equality, diversity and inclusion.

We will give our volunteers a voice within the organisation and regularly ask for your views and ideas.

We will recognise your achievements and successes while volunteering with us.

We will offer complete flexibility in our volunteering opportunities, and take into account any other commitments you may have.

We will provide you with a full induction, and any training or resources you may need to fulfil your role.

We will have adequate insurance to cover you while volunteering with us.

What do we expect from you?

You will perform to the best of your abilities during your time with us, and undertake any required training in line with your role.

You will engage with your team, and show respect to your fellow volunteers.

You will report regularly on your activities, and when requested to by the volunteer team.

You will support our values and ensure you maintain the good name and reputation of Borderline Support UK throughout your time as a volunteer.

You will advise us of any potential conflict of interest between your volunteer role and your private interests.

You will respect the confidentiality of the organisation and it’s volunteers.

You will report any concerns or complaints to a member of the volunteer team.

When using social media to raise awareness of our organisation, you will use best judgment, refrain from any contentious references (for example politics and religion) and will show respect for the organisation, its volunteers and others.
